Jasper is an awesome dog! He's been here a little over a week and is settling in well. He's very sweet and loving and would make a "greyt" addition to any home.
He eats well and crates well and sleeps through the night. He likes spending time in the back yard and going on walks. And he's very curious about everything! The many steps in our house are usually intimidating for new fosters, but Jasper walked right up and down them without any hesitation. He was a bit awkward on the steps at first but he's doing great on them now.
Jasper also has all those special greyhound qualities that make this breed so wonderful. He's a champion napper and a pretty good roacher. He loves to give kisses, and when he gets excited he chatters his teeth. When he gets really excited he grins. :-)
We are still working on a few house manners like not counter surfing and not jumping up on people when he gets excited, but I'm sure he will learn those things with time. He has a small sore spot on his nose from his muzzle not fitting quite right, but it's healing nicely and should be gone in a few weeks.
We don't have a cat, but Japser tested cat safe at the kennel before coming to Nashville. He also ignores our neighbor's tiny dog that likes to run around and bark a lot, so I think he'll probably be cat and small dog safe.
